Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium
The Fisher Price Ocean Wonders Aquarium is a great “tool” for parents. It is quite captivating for babies due to its wrap-around design with a great “ocean view”.
Two fish and a cute little crab are the stars of the show here. The fish (one big fish and one smaller fish) simulate swimming by wiggling their little bodies in real water. The crab plays peek-a-boo behind a sea plant.
The toy has three modes which can be toggled with the help of a button found on top:
- “Music, lights and motion” – each time you press the big button under the aquarium your baby will hear a different children song (instrumental), the fish and crab will start doing their thing, the plants will sway in the ocean current and air bubbles will create a nice underwater sensation.
- “Music and lights” – self explanatory. No movement though: the fish, the crab and the sea weed stay still while the music plays gently and the lights smoothly turn on and off.
- “Music” – no lights, no movement, just music.
It’s a great “tool” for getting the baby to sleep, or for keeping it busy while you have to do this and that around the house. This is mainly because of the captivating lights and ocean sounds combined with the music and, most important, the repetitive movements displayed. Repetitive movements have a calming effect – it’s been scientifically proved.
It can be easily attached to the cradle and it uses 4 C batteries and 2 AAA batteries (included).
